Workshop Capabilities
Projects of any scale are welcome, from individual pieces to full-room installations and larger phased projects. The studio is especially well suited for one-of-a-kind pieces, small runs, and work that benefits from close attention to materials and construction.

Projects are quoted individually based on materials, construction, and scope. Long-term and repeat collaborations are especially welcome.

Yes. I’m happy to review your project and provide yardage guidance prior to fabrication.
I do not offer fabric sourcing or retail sales. Clients typically provide their own materials (COM), and I’m happy to review suitability before beginning.
Yes. Many projects can be completed remotely using mailed materials and measurements. Clients may ship fabric, textiles, or existing pieces to the studio, with completed work carefully packaged and returned upon completion. Shipping and return delivery costs are invoiced as part of the project.
At this time, the studio is not open to the public and does not accept in-person client visits. Collaboration and project coordination are handled through scheduled consultations and remotely through email, phone, shipped materials, etc.

No. While I am happy to discuss materials, construction methods, proportions, and other considerations related to a project's fabrication, I am not an interior designer. Decisions regarding furnishings, layouts, finishes, color palettes, and overall interior design are best made in consultation with a qualified design professional.
Yes. The studio collaborates with interior designers, decorators, artists, and other creative professionals. Trade pricing may be available for qualifying projects and repeat collaborations.
Yes. I'm comfortable working from blueprints, elevations, sketches, measurements, material references, and existing designer specifications.
Collaboration may range from straightforward production work to refining details and resolving construction challenges throughout the fabrication process.
Rush projects may be available depending on schedule and will include an additional fee.
No. My work focuses on sewn soft goods and textile fabrication.
Other limitations include handling old cushion foam, providing new foam inserts that are either oversize or over 3" in thickness, and complex or large slipcovers.
Yes. The studio offers a limited number of custom handwoven textiles, bands, and decorative trim for interior and creative projects. These are high-touch projects produced in limited quantities and priced accordingly.
In some circumstances, the studio may supply foam for local projects and smaller custom cushions measuring 3 inches or less in thickness.
Otherwise, projects are produced as new cushion covers only. Clients requiring replacement foam or inserts are encouraged to source them directly through The Foam Factory.
Turnaround varies based on project scope and current production schedule. Most projects are completed within a few weeks once materials are received.
Projects under $250 are invoiced and due prior to scheduling. For projects exceeding $250, a 50% deposit is required at scheduling, with the remaining balance invoiced prior to delivery. The studio accepts cash and most electronic forms of payment.
Yes. 58x80 welcomes collaborations with interior designers, decorators, architects, project managers, and other industry professionals. Trade pricing is available for qualifying projects and ongoing partnerships. Please reach out to discuss your needs and how the studio can best support your work.
Clear communication throughout the custom fabrication process helps ensure the final result aligns with expectations. Each project is made with care and attention to detail. If there are any issues related to construction or workmanship, I'm happy to address them.
Yes. The studio carries business insurance for covered projects and client materials while in its care. Clients are encouraged to discuss especially valuable, rare, or irreplaceable items prior to production.
Karri Weaver is a textile artist, product designer, and professional seamstress with roots in upholstery and more than twenty years of experience working with interior designers, textiles, and custom furnishings.
